- âUnlike its famous cousin Velociraptor, Borogovia's second toe claw was held in a fixed, nearly flat position rather than being retractable and slashing, suggesting it may have used its feet in a completely different way, possibly for pinning prey.
- âBorogovia was discovered and described by Polish paleontologist Halszka Osmolska in 1987, the same legendary scientist who also named Oviraptor and helped define the entire troodontid family.
- âThe species name gracilicrus refers to the exceptionally thin, gracile tibia (shin bone) found in the fossil, which is so slender it looks almost fragile compared to other dinosaurs of similar size.
